The truth is that every project is different. We will conduct a no-cost assessment to understand your business needs and requirements. Answers to several questions are needed to understand the scope, such as – How many pages? What will each page contain – text, images, forms? What is your overall vision? Do you have a logo? What are your brand colors? Are you looking to capture a client base for email marketing? These types of questions are discussed in order to define project scope and determine a fair price for your project. We cannot assume project work as this will not be accurate.

Websites are created using WordPress. We do not create sites using website builders like Wix, Squarespace, GoDaddy Website Builder, Shopify, etc. The main reason: Websites are created custom for the project and clients we work with. Website builders do not offer the custom flexibility that WordPress does, thus limiting what and how your website can look and function. If you do require additional functionality, website builders charge for premium add-ons that add to the cost of your project quickly. We offer one price for the agreed upon solution with no extra fees or charges.

We will conduct a no-cost assessment of your situation and understand what you are looking to update or edit and provide a reasonable cost and timeframe of delivery. Yes, yes, and YES! I cannot emphasize the importance of images on a website. Take a minute and think about websites that you have enjoyed visiting – what stands them apart – ease of use, but also the imagery! This is where proper photography comes into play. Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a bit of a science. There are several actions needed to rise in Google rankings. Unfortunately, we do not offer SEO services. However, we will create a site that is SEO Ready. What that means is that we will use industry best practices to create a site that will comply with what Google requests of all websites – focus on speed, lightweight, and proper information architecture design.

WHAT HAPPENS TO MY WEBSITE IF FM WEB IS NO LONGER AROUND OR NO LONGER IN BUSINESS?2021-10-26T23:37:50-04:00

This is a question I get quite a bit and for good reason – we have heard numerous stories of how businesses have lost contact with their website developer. In the event that I plan to not continue with FM Web, I will make you aware and provide all login credentials needed to access and migrate to another web agency/developer.

More importantly, no need to fret – FM Web doesn’t have any plans of going anywhere 🙂

During the Process we work closely to make sure expectations are being met. We know ideas may change or new ideas may arise – we welcome them and will work with you to adjust and implement.

IDEATION

The discovery phase – this is when we gather information to learn about you and your business. We look to learn about your industry and competitors/colleagues. What is the purpose/goal of your business website?  Also, what are the personas involved in the website’s visitor journey – what is the story you are looking to tell.

CONCEPT & DESIGN

Based off your goals, we can determine the design direction. The details of your website are planned – navigation, pages, content, images, forms, etc. A wireframe sketch may be accompanied to demonstrate placement and location of content to help you visualize what your website may look like prior to development.

DEVELOP & ITERATE

Creating your website begins. Development is done in a development region, where progress can be seen at any time. The website is reviewed and iterated on throughout development before we go live.

GO LIVE

Approval is given by the client to go live! Security and monitoring is applied on the live site. Support, maintenance and overall website management continues depending on your plan.
